the sea

Oh our sweet sweet spot. We got Wyatt out of school for a couple days and went to the beach during Easter Break. It was so good to get away!!! I wish the weather had been nicer but it didn’t seem to bother our kids. The second day we were there it poured rain all day so we went and saw Rio 2. That was a first for our beach trip….going to the movies. Josie loved the pool. That was her thing. One day she said let’s be mermaids Mama. We ate doughnuts galore at some of our favorite spots. Had an Easter egg hunt in the “backyard”. And the hubby made breakfast and we took it down to the beach and had our own “church service” right there. 

These were the only few pictures I took with my actual camera and I’m laughing because none of them show their faces! Oh well. Boone loved searching for “treasures” such as all kinds of different shells and shark teeth and crab claws. Wyatt just wanted to ride the waves. And Josie loved digging in the sand and flying her kite. This is our summer vacation since our summers look a bit different working at a YL camp and Andy taking high school folks to camp. We are very thankful for a little time away as a family.
