fabulous FOUR

Our baby is 4. Fabulous, funny 4. Four is the majic number The year of funny sayings. Growing up just a smidge. And wearing lots and lots of costumes. I love 4. We had just gotten back from Southwind after being gone a month. We had just moved into our new home. Woops, haven’t talked about that yet. School started and the next day was this girl’s birthday. And she wanted to have her little family party at home. So we left the bags packed along with many boxes and cleared a way to celebrate Josie Wade with a Bubblegum Bash.

        

A sweet friend gave her the cutest outfits for her birthday that will look precious for this Fall…but she was ready to wear them. I think she changed 4 times that day. Happy Thanksgiving along with Happy Birthday and a fake smile. Haha.

And Josie did not want to blow our her candles. She wanted some help. 

 

Elsa and her beautiful gown with a wad of gum in her mouth. After a great morning brunch with family we played the rest of the afternoon. Another change of outfits and it was outside to play. We had the grill fired up ready to get dinner started when this sweet girl didn’t see where she was going and walked into the grill! Somehow our children have never gotten a bad burn so this Mama and Daddy were not sure what to do. It looked really bad so I ended up taking her to the only place open at 7:00 at night on a Saturday…the ER. She had first and second degree burns on her arm but she was the toughest little girl. They even gave her a little stuffed animal at the hospital to make her feel special. We went home and kept on celebrating by opening the presents we had gotten her. That’s a birthday we won’t forget.

FOUR things I love about you:

1. Your imagination! You can take anything and turn it into something. There’s not much you can’t turn into a toy. You are a very creative little girl.
2. You are the fastest to get to sleep. As a parent I just want to say, thank you.
3. Your favorite food is breakfast! You know how to start the day off sister…always with a good meal!
4. Your feisty spirit. You love to be held and snuggled. You love to be a little mama. You love to dress up and accessorize but you can hold your own. You are a tough little girl…you have to to keep up with those brothers. I pray you will always be brave and have a fierce spirit for the Lord.
