romans 12
I really think the Lord wants me to memorize Romans 12. The whole chapter. Yikes.
First off let me say I don’t have much memory. After having 3 kids they have zapped most of my ability to remember things.
I have always wanted to be better at memorizing scripture. It’s usually a goal I have at the beginning of the year. I will memorize some scripture here and there but I have realized the older I get, and the life experiences I have, and I’m going to have…I need to have scripture written on the walls of my heart and soul more deeply than ever.
So here we go. There’s no time limit. Want to do it with me? I’m starting with just 2-3 verses at a time. It helps me to write it down over and over. I think I’m going to have Wyatt help me. I will say it to him and he can read it to make sure I’m getting it right. Then he is hearing God’s word for himself.
I encourage you {whoever is still out there, ha} to read Romans 12. There is so much in this chapter on living.
Romans 12:1-2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.
