a shared party

Boone and Josie’s birthdays are just 3 weeks apart so we decided this year to meet them in the middle and have their birthday parties together. We just did a family birthday at the park which is great because there’s a playground, volleyball court, lots of grass to run around in, and a beautiful lake to look out over. The weather was perfect and then just before the party started the skies were looking like they were going to rain. And it did…just as people were arriving…and then it stopped and this rainbow came out. I think it was a sweet reminder that God was there in the absence of my Dad.

We had a great evening just being together and celebrating these 2 little buckaroos.
