spring break or bust and 36
We packed up the car and left for spring break with snow on the ground. Note the toboggans.
We broke up the trip and when we got to the beach it was a bit chilly but we were all so so so happy to get away from home and let our souls have some rest in the waves and sand.
My honey bun.
This was not even posed. When I was getting ready to snap the picture Josie smooched Boone.
Of course my boys would find a frog and a lizard within seconds of each other.
This girl and her princess tutu bathing suit. Be still my heart.
I have sweet memories of my Dad fixing us coffee {with lots of milk and sugar} when we would go on vacation. It’s fun to do this every now and then with Wyatt.
My handsome 9 year old. He seems to get older and older with each blink of an eye.
Pool time. Every year we go the pool is freezing. Our Spring Break is so early {first or second week of March} that we wonder why it’s not heated. This year, boom, it was warm all week. The kids had a blast.
We had some great weather but also some overcast, chilly, rainy days. I love that this doesn’t bother kids {yet}…they enjoy the beach no matter the forecast.
My birthday is usually around the same time as Spring Break. What a great “gift”. This was my 36th. Gulp. And Wyatt gives me the all time BEST birthday card. happy birthday to you. you live in a zoo. you look like a monkey and you smell like one too. maybe i can play tackle football.
We always get different slices of cake from Modica Market and share. Yuuuuuum. Caramel cake is my favorite. Not to mention this is a favorite picture of me and the hubs. Photo credit goes to Wyatt.
