first family hike

 

On Monday we took a little family hike. It was the first time with all 4 of us together. This trail is basically in our “backyard” and goes around by the lake. It’s beautiful! It has a few different routes depending on how much you want to hike, but we did about 3 miles!!! Not bad for a 4 year old who wanted to keep going. We knew we had to stop or else he would want us to carry him. Ha! Boone did great and hardly made a peep. The last photo shows our tired little buckaroo. We have an older digital camera that we brought along and it was great because it was so much lighter to carry and I think did the job well. We will definitely do this again and possibly bring a picnic next time. The Boy Scouts maintain the trail and the bench Wyatt is sitting on in the picture overlooks the lake. Ahhh, so gorgeous. 

And if you are wondering about Wyatt’s outfit…he picked it out. Socks with sandals and a police hat. Pretty stylish.
