we are home
We finally made it home. It only took 10 hours. Boone had such a hard time on our trip down that we made many more stops and let the boys get out to stretch. They were happier and we were happier…but still very tired.
I gave Wyatt gum to occupy him and he did a great job after many failed attempts in the past of him swallowing it. The headphones- always a life saver because they go with the DVD player-also a lifesaver.
The last night me and Andy went to Harpoon Harry’s for dinner. Papaw and Nana kept the boys and gave us the night out to dinner by ourselves…{sigh}…it was so very relaxing and a great meal outdoors enjoying the view of the ocean with my hubs.
It’s easy to remember where you were when big events occur…..here we are watching the TV as we hear the news of Michael Jackson’s death.
At the very top of our house was this awesome outdoor patio. This is Abbie our niece still asleep on the makeshift bed Nana made for the girls. They camped out there all night…wouldn’t that be so fun!
Thursday morning we took the boys to Charlie’s Donut Truck. I forgot my camera, of course, but it was so cool…it was like an RV that held these yummy doughnuts that we thoroughly enjoyed as you can see by the looks of Wyatt’s face.
Then later that day Boone decided to get into his diaper bag and empty the bag of cheerios that I thought was sealed…and so I just let him sit there and eat his snack…on the floor…gross…but it didn’t seem to bother him.
