Granny
Me, my mom, and Wyatt took a trip last Friday to visit my Granny for the day. She is 100 years old! Is that not unbelievable? (My grandfather lived to be 101, that was 11 years ago.) What is more amazing is that she still lives in her own home and is in great health considering her age. She is very sharp, carries on a great conversation, and doesn't skip a beat. She lives in the country, real country, in her sweet farmhouse. As I was in the kitchen talking with Granny, I was in awe at the fact she was sitting down cutting up an onion for the salad she was making and then afterwards she was hand washing all the dishes from the lunch she prepared. She rarely ever asks for help, she gets up extremely early in the morning and cooks herself breakfast. She knows my favorite, country ham and homemade biscuits, and she had some ready for when we arrived. Guess who else loves them...Wyatt of course. Wyatt just loves Granny. He kept wanting to sit in her lap, she didn't mind she just needed help getting him on her lap. (I kept telling Wyatt to "be gentle with Granny".) We cherished our visit and love our Granny.
